Description:
The ceramic sanding belts coated on premium Y-weight poly/cotton backing and fastened into a belt using a bi-directional, high strength butt joint. These ceramic belts are close coat, resin on resin bonded which provides superior grain retention and reduces loading compared to other bonding methods. These ceramic belts also feature a grinding aid to further reduce loading and prevent heat buildup during use. Ceramic belts are ideal for use on nearly any metal but are specifically useful on metals which are heat sensitive or susceptible to contamination such as stainless steel, nickel alloys or cobalt alloys. Ceramic belts are also suitable for wood, or plastics, these belts can last between 50% and 200% longer than the same belt made with zirconia or other abrasive material.
